NITRO

He found us as down on our luck as he was over 20 years ago. His gruffy personality made him feared by horse and man and a candidate for slaughter. We named him NITRO! (drag racing fuel). His helped us find the way to a different life and begin a horse rescue that has helped many horses and people find a better life. To learn more about his story please,       scroll down.

Three years ago Nitro came in lame. He tore tendons in his right leg that manifested into open sores and he began to loose weight Several monthes later we put him out in our best pasture with a friend to die like a horse with dignity.

That night Travis a Dakota Indain traveling from Canada to Washington on horseback came to pray for Nitro. "I heard about you, you have helped a lot of people. I may not save your life but I can help your soul." Travis smudged him and prayed. The next morning Nitro was standing. Before long Navajo indains from New Mexico came to visit Nitro and blesed him and all the horses to relieve all the negitivity they take from people.

Nitro pulled through and came back to the barn and lives today on his three good legs. He gets out and about and visits his old friends.

Over the years at least fifty horses found a sancturary. Literally hundreds kids have found a great place to come to. Yet there is more Lucky Orphans.
